On one hand, without Sayori going mad with power Monika doesn’t have to step in and allows the player to have this “Happy Ending” before she deletes the game to hopefully prevent the others from also suffering the fate that lies before her. The Alternate Ending is either the same result as the Normal Ending, or it’s far, far worse. So, don’t read it if you want maintain this tunnel vision.
You obviously already know the story, but it’s easy to overlook the below information if you really want to think there’s a happy ending to this game. It told me to reinstall the game, which I did, and when I got back in, it told me the same thing.
